Hubspot Facebook Messenger Greetings vs Manychat configuration

Hi,

 

The FB messenger integration calls for two messages; a greeting & an instant reply during setup. 

 

Is there anyway to deactivate these, as I'm guessing they will overwrite our existing message flows using Manychat/Janis AI; is leaving blank a workable option?

Hey @lpmx 

 

At this time is not possible to turn these messages off on HubSpot end.

I searched for more information and the only other option would be to turn them off on Facebook side to prevent multiple messages being sent.

Thanks a bunch for digging a little deeper Pam. Not ideal but yes I have an option. 

 

I wouldn't want to even if I could. Defeats the purpose of using Manychat as an automated chatflow designer. Its Hubspot's messages that are the issue.

 

I guess a copy/paste could work for the greeting message & a trigger question for the second to kick start an existing chatflow. But I'd get a duplication & it would need manual user input off the bat. I think that's a bit messy.

 

I'd be interested to know how others are dealing with this issue.
