How To Make Company a Required Property?

SOLVE

Hi @MorganW,

If you're referring to making it mandatory to associate a company record, that's unfortunately not possible. Other users have asked for the same, the HubSpot product team has reviewed the request and is currently not planning on developing this.

The only thing that can be made required/mandatory are ticket properties, Service Hub Professional or Enterprise is needed for this, see here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/set-up-fields-seen-when-manually-creating-records

Karsten, you're like the superman of the Hubspot world.  Thanks again for the insight.  Frustrating to hear that such an obvious and simple requirement won't be supported - will force us to put in place what should be an unnecessary process to ensure tickets are being associated to a company.

Hi @MorganW

Users with Account permissions in Service Hub Professional or Enterprise accounts can make certain fields in ticket creation mandatory during manual creation.

In Service Hub Professional or Enterprise accounts, you can select the checkboxes in the Required column next to ticket properties you want to make mandatory when a user manually creates a ticket in HubSpot. Users will not be able to manually create a ticket without entering these required properties.

Hope this helps. If I solved your problem please mark it solved.

Thanks Stjepan, I had already reviewed that page before posting here.  Couldn't understand why it was not possible to make associated company a mandated property.
