Can HubSpot Templates Be Auto-Categorized or Auto-Tagged?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on organizing our HubSpot templates more efficiently and was wondering if there's a way to automate the categorization or tagging process.

Specifically, I'm looking to:

  • Automatically assign categories to templates based on certain criteria (e.g., keywords in the template title)
  • Auto-tag templates to help with easier sorting and searching later on.

I've considered using custom properties and workflows to achieve this, but I'm not entirely sure if this is the best approach or if there are other tools and integrations that might simplify the process.

Has anyone successfully set up an auto-categorization or auto-tagging system for templates in HubSpot? If so, could you share your process or any tips on how to get started?

This is a great idea, @NicoleRinker I hope there's a way to do it! Would definitely save a few manual steps for CS.

I'd like to ask clarifying questions so that we can help you the best we can:

1. When you speak about template, you are referring to Sales template, right? Or about ticket records?
2. Which type of tag you'd like to see? Are these ticket status? Or a new type of tag?

The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.

Thanks so much for the response! We use templates as canned responses/macros. I'm hoping that when a support agent uses a template, it'll automatically add the appropriate categories (tags). That way the support agents don't have to memorize the tagging structure for every single template (macro). It'll also save plenty of time.
