Can Stripe Sync Automatically Update HubSpot Contact Records?

We’re trying to integrate Stripe with HubSpot to sync products and contacts.

Our end goal is for each profile to display the products they own, based on their subscription or purchase.

The challenge is that we have multiple products, product names change frequently, and the products are renewable (monthly, quarterly, or annually). Additionally, some customers may have multiple products or purchases.

Is it possible to integrate Stripe so that syncing products and contacts will also automatically update the contact records in HubSpot?

Here are two main approaches when integrating Stripe and HubSpot so products/subscriptions stay visible on contact records:

Option 1 — HubSpot Commerce Hub with Stripe as the payment processor

• Connect Stripe directly inside HubSpot’s Commerce Hub.

• All payments, invoices, and subscriptions become native HubSpot commerce objects associated with contacts/companies.

• This means you get out-of-the-box subscription and payment records, plus you can trigger lists, reports, and workflows directly from them.

• Best fit if you’re happy to run checkout, invoicing, and subscription management through HubSpot (with Stripe under the hood).

Option 2 — HubSpot <> Stripe Data Sync (Ops Hub)

• Use HubSpot’s Data Sync app to keep contacts in sync and bring products and invoices into HubSpot.

• With Ops Hub Starter/Pro you can map additional fields.

• Great if you want to keep using Stripe checkout but mirror Stripe data in HubSpot for segmentation and workflows.

• Keep in mind: Data Sync is intentionally basic—it may need a small layer of workflows/webhooks or a marketplace app if you want clean “active/canceled/renewal” subscription data.

• Are you looking at the Stripe Payment Processing app? Or another option from the Marketplace?
• If not, have you already looked into API options and middleware?

To clarify, what we’re looking at is the product and contact sync, not payment processing.

We haven’t explored API options or middleware yet at this stage, but we’re open to considering them if that’s what’s required.
