skype, linkedin and xing details

Hi,

I'm new to Hubspot CRM.
Actually, I like it, but it is not that simple as I expected.

Could anybody tell me, where to add skype, LinkedIn and xing details to a contact?

With the introduction of GDPR legislation in the EU, social networks have adjusted how the data of their users is accessed. Our social Media Information properties are no longer consistently populated due to this change as we can view users' information from the social network but in order to populate the information in a property means we would need to store the information on our servers which is where things get tricky. We still have the properties as some HubSpot customers have information populated from pre GDPR but they will not continue to update.

What can be done is manually creating custom properties, and inserting the social media details on these properties.

thnaks for the quick respüonse.

IDs like skype, LinkedIn, or Xing are equally treated as phone numbers and email addresses.
It is my responsibility to remove this information at the time, the business relation to this person ends. As long it is related to my business, it is required.

A customer just sent me his skype ID to connect... why should I not store this information to his data in HS? This is not a GDPR thing, as it became a business connection channel.

Thank you for explaining your goal, if you have the ID, you can create a custom property, and insert these values into the properties. This will show under the contact record.
