We've got a Woocommerce install and having problems with Order Attribution - ie. where the customer arrived at the site from (Google, Organic, Instagram, other linked sites etc)
Lots of orders say "DIRECT" - which should be when a customer types our web address straight to the browser, but we are a tiny business and it just doesn't feel like more than half our customers would do this! Just a gut feeling at the moment.
So I'm wondering if there's an alternative possibility - We do social posts with HubSpot and link to our site on the posts. Is it possible the HubSpot shortlinks are triggering a "Direct" attribution on our Woocommerce?
I partly think this because some customers have said they linked to our website and ordered via social posts, but there are no attributions shown for these? Just lots of "Direct" and "Unknown" (See below)
(NOTE - We think some or all of the Unknown attributions are the result of a payment plugin problem which we are addressing separately)
