Survey Monkey URL with personalized tokens

We are trying to send out a survey using survey monkey and I am being told I can customize the URL of the survey to include tokens ({{contact.firstname}}) to have the url show the contacts details but whenever I add the tokens (email={{contact.email}} etc) the URL does not replace the token with the contacts info.

Does anyone have experience doing this and have an idea how to set it up?

Are you referring to the custom solution that @surmacki mentions in this Community post? 

It seems that there is a limitation in HubSpot that prevents this from working as desired; I wonder if @surmacki could share more details on this matter? Thank you!

I am sending an email out of hubspot that contains a survey monkey url. I

nothing is passing through. Is my formatting off?
