Social images do not fill whole space

When I publish social posts through HubSpot and select a new image for the post, they never fill the entire space regardless of image size.  Any ideas?

Space on bottom and top of imageSpace on bottom and top of image

Q: When I publish social posts through HubSpot and select a new image for the post, they never fill the entire space regardless of image size.  Any ideas??

Short A: Totally ...

Longer A:

To quote Your Bookmarkable Guide to Social Media Image Sizes just posted by Lindsay Kolowich earlier in August,

"As it turns out, sizing images correctly for social media is no simple task. Even just for Facebook marketing, photo dimensions vary according to where and how it's shared -- from cover photos, to timeline images, to profile pictures."

So, even if you used LinkedIn's recommended 'crazy-number' x 'even crazier number' (1536x768?) to share the update in your example you'll need to custom size your image based on a number of factors (including sharing source).

But hey, the good news is we'll always have image-sizing work to do ... that is until the robots take over our jobs. 😉

Always happy to help you build on HubSpot.

Best,
Frank
