What does "near limit" mean with regards to a character count and why does the highlighted pink go away before the desired limit is completed? This new feature is not very helpful. Keeping the highlight and/or have a character counter built-in to create new social posts would be helpful.
Twitter limits a single tweet to 280 characters. When you are first typing your post, you'll get a "near limit" flag at about 252 characters (give or take a few). At this point, you have a little under 30 characters to finish up your post. The next flag that shows up is "over limit." Any characters highlighted in pink are over the 280 character limit for Twitter. You will not be able to schedule the post until you are under the character limit.
