Social Media lead generation

Hi,

 

Quick question about lead generation from social media platforms. Is there a way to automate leads from likes, replies, and direct messages, perhaps if they are already in your CRM you could see your contact's engagement? Or just with things like if they click on lead magnets etc. Thanks. Newbie asking.

Some of what you're looking for is possible, some is not. Let's start with the easy aspects of your question.

 

If you create and publish social posts through HubSpot's social tool. HubSpot automatically shortens your links to hubs.ly tracking links. With the HubSpot tracking code installed and HubSpot cookies, you are then able to attribute later conversions (such a form submissions) to earlier interactions with social posts.

 

Next, when you create Facebook and LinkedIn lead ads through HubSpot, the contacts generated via those ads will automatically be stored in your CRM, more on that here.

 

Regarding your question whether it's possible to see engagement of existing CRM contacts with social posts: This is possible for Twitter. You can create Twitter streams based on HubSpot contacts lists, explained here.

 

Lastly, at the moment there is no way to generated leads from likes, replies or direct messages through HubSpot. There are probably LinkedIn automation solutions which can do this but usually these violate the LinkedIn terms of service.

 

(Generally, the limitations of what's possible are not set by HubSpot, but by the APIs and terms of services of social media platforms and by data privacy regulations.)
