Multiple Images when scheduling posts

Is there a place for the hard and fast rules around adding multiple images to a scheduled post? We routinely have posts with 7-10 images.

First I got an error when attempting to do that to LinkedIn, but Instagram worked fine. Facebook looked like it was going to work but didn't.

So 2-3 times since then I've scheduled the instagram post in Hubspot just fine, and had to manually schedule the FB post in Meta's Planner tool, and then manually post to LinkedIn.

But then on Friday I was getting an error when scheduling a ten-image post to Instagram as well? When/what/how/why is this changing so often and severely limiting the function of our social scheduling in Hubspot?

Multiple Images when scheduling posts

Hi @drewspotshubs

The rules and limitations around adding multiple images to a scheduled post can vary depending on the social media platform and the tools you are using. Here are some general guidelines and considerations:

Platform-specific limitations: Different social media platforms have their own rules and limitations for the number of images that can be included in a single post. For example, Instagram allows up to 10 images in a carousel post, while Facebook allows multiple images in an album post. LinkedIn, on the other hand, has more limited support for multiple images in a single post.

Third-party scheduling tools: When using third-party scheduling tools like HubSpot or Meta's Planner, there may be additional limitations or compatibility issues with certain platforms. These tools rely on APIs provided by the social media platforms, and any changes or updates to those APIs can affect the functionality of scheduling multiple image posts.

API updates and changes: Social media platforms regularly update their APIs, which can impact the features and capabilities available to third-party tools. It's possible that recent updates or changes to the APIs have affected the ability to schedule posts with multiple images in HubSpot or other tools.

Error messages: When you encounter errors while scheduling posts with multiple images, it's important to review the specific error messages provided. They can offer insights into the reason for the failure and provide guidance on how to resolve the issue. If the error messages are unclear, reaching out to the support teams of the scheduling tools or the social media platforms can help in troubleshooting.

Stay updated with platform and tool changes: To mitigate any issues related to scheduling multiple image posts, it's advisable to stay informed about updates and changes to social media platforms' APIs and the features provided by scheduling tools. Regularly check for platform updates, release notes from the scheduling tools, and any relevant documentation or announcements to ensure you are aware of any new limitations or workarounds.

Manual posting as a workaround: If you consistently encounter issues with scheduling multiple image posts using a specific tool, consider manually posting those types of posts directly on the respective social media platforms. This may involve using the platform's native scheduling features or posting in real-time.
