Our company is having issues with reconnecting our instagram account to HubSpot since the last expiration.
We had some admins leave the organization and they no longer have access to our Facebook page to simply add another user. Is there a way to only connect our instagram to HubSpot social without the Facebook connection?
If I disconnect all social accounts and only reconnect via Instagram will this work?
Reconnecting accounts is something that's enforced on a regular basis, sometimes due to changes in the API, sometimes for security reasons. It's something you'll be experiencing again in the future. Finding a workaround for now wouldn't solve the issue in the future.
If there isn't an employee with access to the accounts anymore, I'd recommend reaching out to your ex-employees and managing the account transition with them, in case they're the admins – hoping that you parted on good terms. You will need one current employee with the necessary permissions for these accounts.
To prevent this from happening in the future, I'd recommend setting up an offboarding checklist or protocol. Next time someone with permissions for social accounts leaves the company, you would double check whether they would have to pass on their role to someone else.
Alternatively, if IT can set up a shared account, that can also sometimes be an option. This shared account would not be bound to a specific person. Credentials would be stored in a central password manager.
So long story short: You'll have to work with the people who left and have them transfer the necessary permissions.
Best regards!

Facebook and Instagram are the two different platforms and HubSpot also provide the seprate integration to both of these. So yes you can connect Instagram with Instagram's credentials.
