Custom URL shortner not appearing in linkedin posts

Hi, 

I have connected our Hubspot account to bitly to use our company branded short URL.  When I make posts to Facebook these appear as link.companyname.co/askdj.  When I make the same post to Linkedin, the link is showing up as https://lnkd.in/gBqEa25t.

Is there anyway to fix this.  I would like the link to appear with the company branding in linkedin.

Hi @BPark,

LinkedIn automatically shortens links that are longer than 26 characters, see here. Can you check whether your custom URLs are shorter than that?

Thats for the response.  My link without https:// is 23 characters, with https:// its over the limit.  Its strange because on of my posts had the link.companyname URL and they all seem the same length.

Hi @BPark,

If the link is over the limit, I'd assume that's the reason. I would try to get it shorter than 23 to display fully on LinkedIn.
