Hello my name is Sofia, I have been uploading to instagram since I was about 15 up until now and I am 23. I have started uploading to tiktok in 2020 and just recently started uploading videos to youtube last year in 2022. I'm not as cnsistent as I could be but thats only because I feel like I upload the same type of content that doesn't have much depth which I would like to start doing. I am currently a senior in my undergrad studying arts, technology and emerging communications. In my opinion I would say that tiktok, youtube and instagram are the most effective social media channels to use for promootion because that where the audience can connect with the content creator. The most memorable social media update was when youtubee allowed us too create reels. I am hoping to connect with other content creators and learn how to improve my plan to create a buisness and market it on social media.

However, I'm also starting a new business here soon and am seeking to improve my digital marketing skills in all areas: social media, email marketing, SEO, website, etc. Marketing is not my strongsuit when it comes to business, but I know it's key to growing my new business. I honestly love Instagram to promote contect, as it's very visual and enrapturing. Though other platforms allow for visual aesthetics and videos, I personally find Instagram more enjoyable. Facebook is too overwhelming for me, although I know it's still a valuable resource for connection. And Twitter (or 'X' now) is great for sharing thoughts and opinons.
Though Pinterest is not technically a social media platform, I still find this one very useful as well in my previous endeavors.

To respond to the question what´s the most effective channel of distribution, i think that Tick Tock has become one of the most used channels of promotion because they sell you the not just the product but alse de value of the brand making it look "organic".

Hi Mich, you're right. TikTok can be a very powerful tool for your audience. Still, I recommend you do an audience study and develop a buyer persona before deciding on what SM is best for your market. TikTok is not bad, but each SM platform has its pros and cons and knowing your audience should make you more capable at finding out what's best for your audience. TikTok may not be the best SM for you if you have a market that's more involved with seniors. DM me if you have queries.

It's great you're aware of your audience. That's a start. Now, I would recommend you do a deeper study on what particular social media platform would suit it best.
I understand FB is your fave right now. And it's understandable with the kind of clout the SM platform has. But you could be more effective using another. Who knows? That's where a thorough study would come in.

Hello Avan, FB is nice but if you really want to give your audience justice, I recommend you do a market study and come up with a buyer's persona first. Then, fit that persona to the rightful SM platform. FB is neat but if your audience aren't there, it can be futile.
