Two way sync using a cutsom object

SOLVE

Is two way sync possible using a custom object with hubspot and salesforce? We are planning to send information from a custom object in salesforce to hubspot and once that info hits hubspot, the user then fills out additional info in hubspot which then hits the custom object in salesforce.

Two way sync using a cutsom object

Hi @YClifford and thanks for the tag, @kennedyp 🙂

At the moment, it's one direction only, but a public beta for a two-way sync is available already. You could join that right now if you wanted.

Bidirectional custom object sync between Salesforce and HubSpot

Feb 13, 2024

What is it?

You can now update custom objects in Salesforce directly from HubSpot, in addition to syncing them from Salesforce to HubSpot. With bidirectional custom object sync, you can ensure that your Salesforce environment stays consistently current with the latest changes.

Why does it matter?

Custom objects serve a multitude of purposes and have proven highly beneficial when synchronized with your Salesforce environments. Now, HubSpot is enhancing our custom object sync capability by enabling full bidirectional synchronization.

As always, you are in full control, setting the precise sync rules and triggers that align with your needs and preferences.

How does it work?

You can now opt in to access the new public beta by:

  1. Navigating to the personal portal dropdown menu.
  2. Going to product updates.
  3. Finding the 'bidirectional custom object sync public beta.'
  4. Clicking the 'Join Beta' button.

Once you've joined the beta, you'll find the two-way sync feature enabled under the existing 'sync custom object' option on the main Salesforce integration application page.

Who gets it?

This feature is available to CMS Enterprise, Enterprise Customer Platform, Marketing Enterprise, Ops Enterprise, Sales Enterprise, and Service Enterprise.

You can find and enroll into the beta here:

Hi @YClifford, welcome and i hope you find this discussions useful.

Thank you for the comprehensive information, @karstenkoehler ! I am excited about the public beta for the two-way sync, as it presents a valuable opportunity to enhance our integration between HubSpot and Salesforce.

As someone with a strong background in HubSpot, I am interested in learning what strategies others are utilizing to establish effective sync rules. Specifically, what best practices can be implemented to ensure data integrity throughout this process, particularly when dealing with custom objects? I would appreciate any insights from the community as I continue to refine our approach.

I look forward to your responses!

Two way sync using a cutsom object

SOLVE

Hi @YClifford! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊

Thanks for your question. The Knowledge Base article only shows the ability for a one-way sync. However, in this thread, @karstenkoehler highlights a public beta that will help you achieve a two-way sync. Check out the screenshot in that comment to find out how to enroll your account in the beta.

Best,
Kennedy
