Tracking competitors

Hello,

What are your favorite tools for tracking competitors and brining that info into HubSpot. We'd like to create a page for each competitor to keep track of basic info.

Bonus points if we can also see news alerts for competitors.

Tracking competitors' SEM/SEO activity is a nice to have. 

 

I have considered adding a custom tag to each contact field called "competitor" so at least we could pull a list. But that doesn't solve our news alerts and SEM/SEO needs. 

 

Thoughts?

Also, we're considering intergrating with ASANA.

Hi @Erdie80,

 

First, while the competitor tool isn't great in HubSpot, it does capture some basic information.

 

You could also create a "Contact" for each competitor with an email address specific to that competitor. For example: competitorxyz@yoururl.com or competitorxyz@gmail.com. From there you can send Google Alerts to that email address. We also use SEMRush to track competitor performance as it relates to SEO/SEM. You could send reports specifically to that email address associated with the company from SEMRush/SpyFu/something else to be logged to that contact record.  

 

Just a couple of ideas!
