Salesforce sync error: entity type cannot be updated: Account

SOLVE

Hi everyone,

We recently synced companies and we are getting this error:

entity type cannot be updated: Account

I don't understand what it means. When I click on the info sign, it just shows:

"Salesforce automation
These HubSpot records couldn't sync to Salesforce because of a Salesforce automation error.
Fix in Salesforce: Check your automation settings, resolve any issues, and resync."

Is there a way to find out which automation causes the error?

Hi @PKirova

Salesforce logs may tell you what it causing the issue. Common causes of this sort of error that I recommend eliminating are:

  • Integration user does not have sufficient permissions to update the target record
  • Target record has validation rules which are not passed, preventing the update
  • The target record has been deleted

Hope this helps.
