Phone numbers not syncing with Google Contacts

SOLVE

I have my HubSpot > Google Contacts sync set up to sync HubSpot contacts with an email to Google Contacts.

I am on a free plan, and therefore have the default field mappings.

My contacts in HubSpot have a phone number and address. Note - they do not have a "mobile phone number" and I don't want to set it up that way because it's harder for me.

After sync'ing to Google Contacts, there is no phone number or address.

I want the Contact Phone Number and Address in HubSpot to sync to Google Contacts.

Phone numbers not syncing with Google Contacts

SOLVE

Hi @DRoots

Other than some initial checks (making sure its the right account, you have Super Admin, and you've picked the correct properties, no errors or warnings in the integration page) one thing to check are your Google permissions that could be blocking any write in data  and redoing the connection on the Google side

The other thing could be a a rate limit issue if this has been hit before

From Hubspot's Knowledge base

Customize your field mappings (Operations Hub Starter, Professional or Enterprise only)

The Google Contacts integration has 11 default mappings that cannot be edited. Learn how to add a new field mapping. Also, keep in mind the following limitations for the Google Contacts integration:

  • The phone number that is listed first in Google Contacts in the Phones property will map to the Phones property in HubSpot. Any additional phone numbers in Google Contacts will not sync unless they are labelled as Mobile or Fax, in which case they will sync with the Mobile Phone Number and Fax Number in HubSpot respectively.
  • Existing custom text fields in Google Contacts cannot be synced to HubSpot.
  • Labels in Google Contacts cannot be synced with HubSpot properties.
  • It is not possible to sync the Owner property between HubSpot and Google Contacts.
  • If there are multiple values in a property in Google Contacts, the first property value will be synced to the HubSpot property.

Resolve sync errors

Google Contacts has a limit of 25,000 unique contacts, including contacts in the Other contacts and Trash folders. The maximum size of an individual contact is 128KB. If you see the error Storage quota exceeded, follow these steps to resolve it:

  • Empty the Trash and Other contacts folder.
  • Delete any duplicate or unwanted contacts.
  • Amend individual contacts so that they are below the size restriction of 128KB.
