[Now Live] Products created by Shopify and EcommBridge Apps are now editable in HubSpot

Editable Products

Shopify and EcommBridge synced products are now editable in HubSpot. This means users can now:

  • Edit a product
  • Delete a product
  • Add that product as a line item to a HubSpot deal or quote

This functionality is available for:

HubSpot built integrations:

App partner apps using Ecommerce Bridge API

One-off and Hubspot API Key Apps using the  Ecommerce Bridge API

If you are integrated with one of the apps above or the Ecommerce Bridge API, use this resource to see if products are syncing into HubSpot.

With this roll-out, users will notice changes in the product library UI. Products created from Ecommerce Bridge apps will look like products created in-app. All the data is still there but the data will be represented in input fields. In order for our Product team to move forward with improvements to the product library, they needed to remove the specific UI functionality for the Ecommerce Bridge apps.

As this feature is released, users will see a banner in the product library for these products. You can click the “Learn more” link to get more information.

Editable Line-Items

Products are now editable but users will notice that some line items are still not editable. There is still work to be done for users to edit synced line item data from apps using the Ecommerce Bridge API. If the line item is not editable, a user will see the message below in the line item editor.

Editing all line items is on the roadmap for 2022. More information is to come on that roll-out later in the year.

Hello,  I still have a line item from a Woo Commerce integration that is not editable. It was mentioned aboved that all items would be availble to edit in 2022. Is that no longer the case? Thanks,

Thanks for the update.

Can you please advise when eCommerceBridge API calls will be accessible via private apps?

Hello  @brandy_asplundh

Thanks for the update.

There is one point which I would like clarification upon please - how can we get the shopify description of the products appear in any hubspot quote?

It seems the "desctiption" and "body html" fields in hubspot are completely separate and don't sync. And, it doesn't seem to be possible to add "body html" to any quote template.

Thanks for your help,

Hi Alvaro,

Yes, that is correct. That UI was custom for our ecommbridge API. The team that owns that UI needed to remove that solution so that we can build a more native solution in our library. We have no official timeline but we do know how helpful it is for users to view the product image in the product library.

Best,

Brandy

Hey @brandy_asplundh!

Thanks for the update, it's a great feature! However we were able to display de product image when editing the record. It sounds like it's no longer possible as per Properties synced from third parties won't display images or rich text.

Is there any plan in the roadmap to enable that psossibility again?

Many thans for your help in advance!
