When I connect my google calendar to my hubspot accout and create a video conferencing meet in my google calendar, it syncs the meeting to hubspot. But the google meet link is not added to the meeting activity in hubspot, only the meeting name, date, participants are added.
When you connect your Google Calendar to HubSpot, HubSpot syncs basic meeting details (like name, date, and participants) but does not automatically pull in the Google Meet link to the meeting activity.
This is because HubSpot's native integration does not currently support syncing the video conferencing link from Google Meet to HubSpot by default.
1. When you create a meeting in Google Calendar, manually copy the Google Meet link from the calendar event.
2. Paste this link into the "Description" or "Notes" section of the meeting activity in HubSpot. This way, it will be visible to all participants and easily accessible within HubSpot.
3. Consider using third-party tools or integrations, such as Zapier, to automate this process. You can set up a Zap that triggers when a new Google Calendar event is created with a Google Meet link and then updates the corresponding meeting activity in HubSpot with the link.
4. Use HubSpot's built-in video conferencing integration options, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. These tools have native integrations with HubSpot that automatically include the meeting link in the HubSpot meeting activity.
5. Check if there is a Google Workspace add-on or extension specifically designed to enhance the Google Calendar and HubSpot integration. Sometimes, add-ons can provide extra functionality that isn’t available natively.
6. If you have development resources, you could build a custom integration using the HubSpot API and Google Calendar API. This custom solution could fetch the Google Meet link from calendar events and update the corresponding HubSpot meeting record.
