Wondering if anybody had some insight they could share on using HubSpots integration with Lightspeed POS? Looking into this at the moment and the only information I can find shows it to be quite limited, for example only sharing Contact information and not Transactional information.
Would love to hear from anyone who has used this integration!
I must admit, I haven't personally utilised this integration, and it appears that there isn't extensive feedback available as the installation numbers are just over 50. Nevertheless, I've researched its capabilities, limitations, alternatives, and even some user cases to provide you with what additional context I can. As you both have pointed out, the main functionality of this integration is the synchronisation of contact information. This feature enables efficient management of customer details across both platforms, although, regrettably, it doesn't extend to transaction records or more comprehensive financial data.
Lightspeed Integration – How are people using it?
From what I've observed with clients using similar integrations and feedback from Lightspeed users, the key benefit lies in leveraging HubSpot’s suite of tools (Marketing, Sales, Service, or Operations) along with the two-way sync to create a seamless experience for both your team and customers. For instance, depending on your subscription and company structure, Operations can help maintain data cleanliness and manage duplicates due to the two-way sync. Marketing can track customer origins, manage attribution, and support nurture workflows and lead management, providing insights into where your contacts originate and strategies to attract more. Sales benefits by centralising communications and utilising deals to segment the stages of the buyer’s journey. Concurrently, having all contacts and conversations in one place aids your service team in delivering top-notch support and onboarding.
Is there a workaround?
For those aiming to extend beyond the default capabilities, the options for third-party integrations that go beyond contact syncing are quite limited. The feasibility of these options largely depends on how you intend to integrate the systems and what benefits you hope to achieve. Nearly all solutions would likely necessitate some manual programming by you, your development team, or an external provider. Platforms like Zapier might facilitate this process, although their capabilities are also quite restricted. The specific fields you need to sync and the level of your HubSpot subscription will influence the potential solutions.
If you require more detailed information or assistance, I’m here to help in any way possible.
Agree with @HubSpot_Corey 's very thoughtful answer. I actually looked at your post yesterday and noodled around with my Zapier account to see what might be possible in the way of using Zapier to automate the creation of HubSpot Deals from LightSpeed transactions and found VERY LITTLE opportunity to accomplish anything there. (There were some opportunities for transaction based automation in Zapier on the ECWID platform, which Lightspeed now owns.)
Not that you're looking to change up your tech stack, but there are some much more robust integraitons out there, including Shopify, which many of our ecommerce clients are using.
I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if there are any more quesitons I can answer.

I'm a business owner who started out with Vend/LightSpeed POS and added HubSpot into the mix about 5 years ago. Lightspeed's itegration ability **bleep** and it has not improved and as a result we're moving away from it as a POS. Chiefly, it can't support syncing Sales>Deals and the way it exports Sales manually does not include any core customer info that would allow it to map the Sales/Deals correctly in HubSpot in terms of associating them with Contacts without a lot of crazy messing around.
