There is no universal requirement to have both Type and Account Type in either system, or mapped. Almost anything is possible with Salesforce configruation however so I can't speak for your specific implementation.
Assuming there is no requirement, you should be able to go ahead and decide which HubSpot property you want mapped to which Salesforce property and go ahead and create that custom mapping.
Data formats obviouslty have to match and if either property is a picklist, both systems need to have the same set of values.
