How can I automate enrolling a contact into a sequence?

I would like to automate enrolling a contact into a sequence.

Could this be done with Zapier or Automate.io?

i.e. Using an email or Google Sheets row as a trigger to enroll the Hubspot contact into a sequence?

Is this possible?  If not, is this something I can develop OR how can I request this functionality?

This should be included in Pro. It's very basic functionality, and Hubspot sequences don't have much flexibility which means workflows is a workaround.

I totally agree. I have to use Zapier for most of the automations i'm using, which defeats the purpose of having Sale Hub Pro...

Hey @AMelton9 ! There is a free chrome extension called "HubSpot Sequence Automator" which lets you do this currently.

I'm not sure this feature was enabled for the Sales Starter package. If I remember correctly, it was created for the Marketing subscription.

I wanted to chime in here - this feature went live this week and is available in our Sales and Service Hub Enterprise. You can read more about  enrolling and unenrolling contacts in sequences with the help of workflows in this Knowledge base article.

Hi @karstenkoehler , that's exactly the solution I'm looking for! I have the professional verison of both the marketing and sales hub but the "enroll in a sequence" or "unenroll in a sequence" options don't appear for me in workflow actions. Any ideas why?

Hi @Shep I think it's currently only avalible for enterprise versions, but you can try the free chrome extension I mentioned above.

Maybe this is being rolled out to portals in waves. If it was an Enterprise feature, it would show up with a lock icon, I think. I'd recommend checking with your customer success manager, maybe they can enable this for you.

This is now possible using contact-based workflows, available in Enterprise. See the screenshot of a contact-based workflow below:

This allows you to automatically enroll contacts into sequences (via workflows) based on any available workflow enrollment triggters.
