Field Property Values in a report

Hubspot stores the Property Values for almost all the fields. For example Stage field in Deals, if we click on Details for Stage, we can see the various values the Stage field went through. However, we cannot get these values into a report.

The business case in this instance is for us to view the various stages the Deal went through before reaching say Closed Lost. This way the business can understand after which stage the Deals are being lost.

You're right, typically reports cannot pull historic values. Luckily, deal stages are an exception: This can be visualised with deal funnel reports. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/create-new-custom-funnel-reports

These reports will show the drop off after each deal stage.
