Thank you for your reply. I've reached out to the team and got more information on this.
We've given you access to a public beta. With it, you should now be able to input your HubSpot CRM data directly into the DocuSign Template. The one catch is that custom fields can not be updated from within HubSpot, this needs to be done in the Docusign template to make any changes.
The steps to do this are: 1. Create a template in DocuSign 2. In the "Custom Fields" section of the left sidebar you can see HubSpot fields, you can put them in your template 3. When you use that template from HubSpot the appropriate data will be populated in those fields
Unfortunately, DocuSign doesn't allow us to populate values on embedded editing view, so custom fields should be placed in the template in the DocuSign app before using that template in HubSpot.
Hope that helps. Have a lovely day, Tiphaine.
EDIT June, 22
My apologies about the confusion here. After getting further clarification from the Product Team: * When talking about "Custom Fields" in the explanation above, it means "Custom fields" in relation to DocuSign and not HubSpot. When you're in the DocuSign template you'll find these custom fields on the left. Those are only HubSpot-predefined fields at the moment. * This is no longer in beta but live and can be found here.
Our DocuSign integration is no longer in beta. It is now live and available to download from our App Marketplace . Predefined HubSpot fields are available to customise your DS templates. Fields customisable by the users are not yet available, but likely to be something we will add in the future
Hello, we would like to use the integration between HubSpot and Docusign to generate contracts in the real estate sector. Unfortunately, we are experiencing field format difficulties with the integration. Docusign doesn't seem to read HubSpot's number and date fields very well, and transcribes the information with a very particular format: a large number of digits and commas that are useless for numbers, and dates are transformed into a succession of digits too. How can we correct the situation? Knowing that the connection is only possible with text fields on the Docusign side.
Attached are field formats: the HubSpot value on one side and what Docusign displays on the other.
Does anyone have a solution for me heere ? I can't find any solution on discussion on this issue...
I just wanted to comment that I just viewed the DocuSign integration settings within HubSpot and the custom propery mapping feature now seems to be live! I haven't dug into it much yet but see below for a screenshot.
I may be doing something wrong, but I'm not seeing the Hubspot fields showing up in my DocuSign custom field list. The integration is set up correctly as far as I can tell. Any thoughts?
Hello, before we upgrade Docusign for twice the price, can you confirm that user-created fields in HubSpot (eg Contact Sign Date) can be added to Docusign Templates?
We have a workflow automation set up in HubSpot that includes an action to send a DocuSign document (integrated).
When this action occurs - the DocuSign document (a saved template) comes through but does NOT have the "Sign Here" field highlighted. (It does allow for signature by a drag and drop from the FIELDS on the left hand side, but does not have an option to "START" and sign by clicking through.)
When we send this same template document directly and manually from DS - the fields come through.
We have spoken to HubSpot and tested both ways. We sent the doc through HS automation and manually from DocuSign and they experienced the same problem on their end.
Hubspot suggested we reach out to you since the integration was built by DocuSign.
Can you please assist? Is there something we need to do on our template/DocuSign side to "lock in" those Sign Here fields and make sure they come through the integration? We want the START option to "walk through" our clients on signature and FINISH option at the end.
Would love some final clarity. Is this a limitation of the integration and we need to find a different solution?
Not asking about created custom fields, or mapping of existing information - simply needing the SIGN HERE yellow highlighted indicator we see with docusign when sent from there manually.

Docusign Integration Custom Fields
SOLVE
Hello Anya,
I received your email.
"We sent the doc through HS automation and manually from DocuSign and they experienced the same problem on their end." This integration is built by HubSpot, so if there is an issue with the signing field, it should be looked on our end.
Have you opened a ticket with our Support team? Please send me your email address so we can continue this conversation.
Has there been any update on adding Custom Fields to DocuSign? I noticed there is no field for a Contact Phone Number which seems extremely odd, especially for any business that is B2C where we don't have a Company Phone Number?
BOOOO this is super basic. Totally got to get this done, what other integrations support this? No use in using docusign if you cant do custom fields unless there are SUPER basic requirements.
Can you put it in the roadmap? The automation is next to useless when we can't get the data we need to populate the contracts. Also, half of the standard mapped fields don't actually work, so making workflows that work around this deficiency is also impossible.

I see the issue, When I create a Docusign from Company it populates the fields, but does not populate contact fields....does it not recognize the contact and company association?
