Deals integration with google sheet

Hi,

I want to retrieve deal information to a google sheet and want this to be updated automatically on a frequent basis (every 30 minutes ex).

I have not been able to find out a way to retrieve information based on deal property changes, and I am currently using zapier to get the deal information and are using the trigger "new deal in stage". Sometimes deals are updated after moved into a new stage, and then I move the deal back and forth between two deal stages to trigger an update in my sheet (not very sustainable).

Anyone with suggestions on how to solve this?

Hi @Eirik,

I think if you're comfortable with building something out, you could set up something with Google Apps Scripts and HubSpot's Webhooks API. I'm less familiar with Google's side of things, but here are their docs on apps scripts: https://developers.google.com/apps-script/overview. And then from HubSpot, it sounds like you're looking to send deal data whenever certain deal properties change?

Depending on your subscription level you may be able to use webhooks in workflows: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/how-do-i-use-webhooks-with-hubspot-workflows or the Webhooks API: https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/webhooks/webhooks-overview. If you create an app that uses the Webhooks API, you can create subscriptions for deal property changes. So when those deal properties change on deals, JSON for that deal object is sent to your webhook URL, which in this case would be something you have set up in Google to update your Google sheet. This way you wouldn't need to check for updates every 30 minutes, so those webhook notifications will get sent out in real time.

I hope this helps.

Hi Leland,

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll look into the API-solution.

Thanks,

Hi @Eirik,

You can accomplish this using Automate.IO. I am currently testing this for a client and it is working as you suggested. It's currently in beta, but I haven't run into any issues yet. Smiley Happy
