Contact upload file as attachment?

Hi,

Is there a way using a Hubspot form for a Contact  to upload an atachement (such as a Resume / CV) against their own record and for this to appear as an attachment?

When I use the File Upload field in a form it seem to attach the file to the form rather than  the Contact?

Thanks,

Mike.

Contact upload file as attachment?

Hi @MDurkin,

The file will be available as a link on the contact record, not as an attachment. For example, if on your form you created a file upload field called "Resume", find the "Resume" property on the contact record to get the link. The same link will come through when the notification is sent as well. While you will see it on the form submissions information, it is still technically associated with the contact.

I hope that helps!

Contact upload file as attachment?

Thanks @Josh

Appreciate the response.

For context, I'm a Career Coach and want to give contacts the option to upload their Resume to their record.

Can I please ask the following to yourself (or anyone else)?

  1. Is the file uploaded able to be securely deleted if the contact requests it without deleting the contact record or form (in line with GDPR)?
  2. As it's attached / linked to the form, is this data secure / private and not publicly visible?

Sorry if these are beginner questions just trying to get my head round it!

Thanks,

Mike.
