We are trying to ensure our Hubspot hard bounces sync over to Salesforce but I'm not seeing the Invalid Email Address field update to TRUE upon hard bounce. Am I missing a configuration? Also, is it best practice to map Is Email Bounced in Salesforce with Invalid Email Address is Hubspot? This is what we are considering doing.
It's not clear whether you are talking about not updating the invalid email field in HubSpot or Salesforce? It's a bit tricky, maybe not all hard bounced email will count in that category, as a result, it does not update the invalid email field in HubSpot (see knowledgebase). If you're planning to track the hard bounce email, I'd suggest using some other contact property such as Marketing emails bounced is known or something similar, so that you know which emails are being bounced. And then update the email field or create a new contact property and update that with the workflow. And make sure your email field is properly mapped with Salesforce.
Thanks for reaching out. I want to tag in some subject matter experts to see if they have any suggestions. Hi @Aakar@Simplii@lynton, do you have any thoughts on this?
Thanks! Jess
