sales workspace - customize columns

SOLVE

Hi. My customer is primarily working in the B2C environment, so it would be necessary to see the (primary) contact name as a column in the deal tab of the sales workspace.

Any idea how we can achieve this?

sales workspace - customize columns

SOLVE

Hi @FrankWL,

Currently, there isn't any way to display this directly, but here are a few ways how you can work around it:

  1. Create a custom deal property (single line text) and use a deal-based workflow to enroll deals when there is an association to a primary contact, then use set the value of this new property to the first name and last name of the associated primary contact. Once created and running, you can include this column in the sales workspace deal view.
  2. Create a contact calculation property that concatenates first and last name. Then create a sync property on the deal object to sync that concatenated value into the deal. Once created and running, you can include this column in the sales workspace deal view.
  3. Include the contact name in the deal name.

Additionally, you can request in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community that – similar to other index pages – associated records can be displayed in a column: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

Thank you, Karsten. We could also use the standard association with the company object. And use a workflow to create the company as e.g. 'firstname name - city'.

But what I really wanted was to make the product team aware of cases when working with B2C clients.

@FrankWL that's why I mentioned the HubSpot Ideas section of the community: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

These requests submitted to the HubSpot Ideas section of the community are reviewed by the HubSpot product team, based on their popularity and the assumed demand.
