Hi, not sure weather anyone else has the same issue i have?
To give some context, we are a B2B company and most of our revenue is repeat business from existing clients, with our growth represented by developing existing accounts and bringing new accounts on board.
As a company, there are some quotes we would send to a customer that would not require the creation of a deal for example:
A customer may ask for a quote on an item that they have taken before, this may be so they can confirm the price hasn't changed, or so they can give the quote to their purchasing team to raise a PO. In my opinion, it would be pointless to create a deal for this, but it would still be nice to put this in a quote in HS.
On the other hand, we may get a customer wanting pricing on items they have not taken before, whether that be an existing or new customer, for this, it is imperative a deal is created so we can track where its up to.
Has anyone else come across or had any thoughts on this kind of scenario?
@Miticus_1 if the quote is confirming a price hasn't changed, could you just associate the new quote to the same deal you already quoted them on? Does that create other issues or does it help? I'm a simple guy who likes to find the easiest answer. 😂 That seems like a solution I'd personally try.
