I would like to automate our sales pipeline in a way that whenever a contact's lifecycle stage changes to SQL, the prospect is enrolled into our first deal stage and a new deal is created for them.
This is easily done with a workflow, however, the deal that is created is completely empty and it is up to the sales rep to fill in all the required information if they want (circumventing the exit criteria I have set for this deal stage).
My question is: is there a way to automatically create a deal like I described above and enforce the sales rep to fill in all the properties we set as compulsory with the exit criteria in the Sales Pipeline?
My ideal scenario would be the following: when a rep changes the lifecycle stage of a contact to SQL, they got redirected to the newly created deal's page and asked to fill in the exit criteria properties.
It's not possible to redirect a sales person to a deal record after updating the lifecycle stage of a contact.
As a workaround, you could create a deal-based workflow which enrolls the new deal and sends an internal email notification to the sales person. To include a link directly to the deal record in this email, you can follow this syntax:
