Where are emails attachments from logged email conversations stored

Hi,
We use deals and tickets to manage inbound leads and projects. Often attachments are present in emails logged to deals/tickets then they would show under the "Attachments" section automatically which is practical.
My question is, are those then actually stored in Hubspot Data centre or are they simply retrieved from our email server? (in the 2nd case they would still be physically stored with us)
This is important as we can't have those files stored outside of our systems.
If you're logging these emails and attachments to HubSpot then they will be processed and stored by HubSpot as well. HubSpot is not referencing the original file location from your email service provider here. By logging these emails, you're telling HubSpot to make and keep a copy.

Where, specifically, are the files that I attach to outbound sales emails stored in HubSpot? Are they available in the Files section of HubSpot? If I want to re-attach a file that I previously attached to an email, can I find it in Files or do I need to upload it again? I've tried looking in Files but I can't find any of the files I've attached to outbound sales emails.
