Turn off mandatory fields in a pipeline for specific deals

resolver

Hi,

We are running a Christmas holiday campaign and our sales team wants to turn off mandatory fields only for the deals they create for the holiday campaign. They use line items (products) and we created a separate product just for the campaign.

Is it possible to turn off mandatory fields in the pipeline based on the selected line item or any other field?

Thanks!

@EVatsev assuming that your campaign deals have a specific value in some property, here's what you would do:

  1. Enroll deals based on that value AND the association with a line item

  2. Use the "Set property value" workflow action to fill fields that are currently blocking sales reps from moving along campaign deals, if that makes sense

Let me know if that makes sense!

Thank you, both!

@karstenkoehler can you please share more info on how to do this -> You could however use workflows to fill those required fields automatically based on line items.

Hi @EVatsev,

If your question is whether required fields can be made conditional based on line items, then no, this is unfortunately not possible.

You could however use workflows to fill those required fields automatically based on line items.

If the required fields don't apply at all, you could consider updating your required property logic. Conditional logic for enumeration properties would allow you to display required fields based on the deal type (campaign deal vs regular deal) for example: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/set-up-conditional-logic-for-enumeration-properties - certain fields would only display for regular deals.

Hope this helps!

@EVatsev -- It's possible to turn off some of those fields, but can't turn off the default mandatory fields.

You can edit the deal create form on the deal settings page.
