The property couldn't be set because the contact isn't associated with any target records.

SOLVE

Hi,

I'm having a problem here, could someone please help me troubleshoot the following error occurring in this workflow I am creating

"The property couldn't be set because the contact isn't associated with any target records."

Can anybody help me with this? I would really appreciated

SOLVE

Hi @Melissa_Melo23,

 

This likely has to do with the order of your workflow actions. Currently, you're trying to update a deal first before you create it (step 3 and 4). In step 3, HubSpot cannot yet find a deal associated to the contact. You're only creating it further down / later.

 

If step 3 belongs to step 4, you could remove step 3 entirely and specify within step 4 which pipeline / stage the deal should be created. When you click into the "Create record" action, the sidebar opens and you can specify the pipeline / stage.
