Stripe Terminal (POS) to integrate with CRM

MFranco1
Contributor

Hello,

Stripe Terminal needs to be integrated with the website backend and the CRM.

The stripe team sent this link to share with Hubspot. There is any developer in the room that have done that and would be keen to help us integrate it? Below is the document they shared with us.
https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/payments/setup-integration

Additional article can be found here.

The terminal model is BBPOS WisePOS E

Thank you in advance.

@MFranco1 I am not familiar with Stripe POS integrations, but it seems to leverage the same databases as any other Stripe processing.

In this case, I would try this no-code solution first to see if it suits your needs: https://ecosystem.hubspot.com/marketplace/apps/sales/sales-enablement/stripe-data-sync

If it doesn't, then we could look into custom programming of an integration

Don't forget to mark my reply as a solution if you are satisfied. If not, do not hesitate to ask me anything!

Hi @MFranco1,

Are you wanting transaction data from the terminal to flow back into your CRM? If so, you could consider setting up this integration. You could also leverage third party tools such as Zapier or Make if the integration doesn't work for you.

If I'm thinking about it right, the portable terminal would be one point of purchase and the website would be a separate point of purchase. I'm having trouble understanding the integration on the website. Wouldn't all the purchases flow to the bank account in your stripe account?

Here's an attempt to answer the website integration question:

It sounds like you have your stripe account connected to HubSpot, but just in case -- here's where to go in settings to connect your stripe account:

RSchweighart_0-1710192327778.png

Then, you can set up something like a payment link for the product/service you sell once your stripe account is connected. Here's how to grab the embed code for your payment link:

If you have your products built in HubSpot, there's a recently released Products module you can add to your website.

Hello Louis,

Thank you for sharing this. We did that 5 months ago, and the integration with the POS Terminal is a step further. 😀

Great question, thanks for asking the Community!

First, I'd like to share resources that might be of interest:

I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @louischausse, @Bryantworks and @ChristinaKay do you have suggestions to help @MFranco1, please?

If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation 🙂

Thanks a lot and have a lovely day!

What data do you expect to see in HubSpot?

I don't expect to see anything on Hubspot. We need to integrate a card
payment terminal from Stripe account to our website. Our website is hosted
on HubCMS. Does that clear your questions?

Hi @MFranco1,

Thank you for the additional information!

I understand that you have already connected the Stripe integration but you'd like to be able to accept in-person payments. Please let me know if that's not the case.

The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.

From the document you shared from Stripe, it seems that you'll need some custom code for that. I am not sure about the steps to take since this is not a HubSpot documentation.

I'd therefore recommend you to post in the Developers Forum so that you can either share the code you are trying to create (without sensitive data) or you might be able to get help from developers.

Thank you.

Best,
Bérangère

I'm not sure what you mean by "integrate a card payment terminal", but if you want to collect payments on your website with Stripe as the payment processor, the best way to do this is by using Commerce Hub: https://ecosystem.hubspot.com/marketplace/apps/commerce/payment-gateways/stripedemo?eco_sortField=FI...

This will allow you to add payment modules to your web pages: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/payments/add-a-payment-link-to-your-website#add-the-default-payments-m...

Listen, I read your request and clicked on the links and this is what does not make sense here. POS are for the physical world. Meaning collecting payments in a store by swiping and taping cards on a physical terminal. If you want to collect payment on a CMS Hub based website you need to look for another solution. If this is not what you are trying to achieve just say so and we'll help you. We are several HubSpot experts here trying to help you for free even if we normally charge our customers thousands of dollars for that kind of consulting and no one understand exactcly what you are trying to achieve, so if you're not clear in your request at least try to be polite. This is a community based on respect.

Look, I'm very polite, but you seem to have a challenge understanding the
topic, and I have patience and a time limit. I know that being direct and
transparent may cause some people discomfort, but this is life!

We have Stripe integrated into our CRM already, and we are not here after
it. I've been very clear on many replies here on the chat and you guys keep
forcing the integration with CRM. So, the Stripe terminal requests this
connection, and if you want to know more about "why", then you have to
reach out to the Stripe tech team.

Look, I'm not here after free advice; as I mentioned to HS support, we are
after a professional who can fix the issue for us. They pointed out to me
to make a post here and see if any capable professional can help further.

I hope this clarifies the matter! Have a great day.
