Spam Round Robin Leads

We use HubSpot Round Robin assignments and love it, but there is no way to filter out the spam leads without human intervention? Is there anyway to incorporate a workflow for when leads submit a form that are very obviously spam, that they don't get distributed on the Round Robin?

Hi @tayloravictor,

How are you determining they're spam? If it's something easy to filter for (keywords in a message field, certain email domains), you could simply exclude them in the enrollment criteria of the workflow (message doesn't contain, email domain isn't any of, etc).

Best regards!

Hi @tayloravictor ,

To filter out spam leads in a workflow, here’s how you can identify and handle them more efficiently:

  • Using the criteria you’ve identified, configure enrollment triggers in your workflow to classify spam leads automatically. For example, you can create conditions that check for specific patterns in email addresses or detect spam-like content in form fields. These triggers will ensure that leads matching your spam criteria are flagged as soon as they are captured.
  • Once a lead is identified as spam through the workflow, update a custom contact property to mark it accordingly. This property will serve as a key indicator, allowing you to manage these leads separately and prevent them from progressing through other workflows or assignments.
  • Finally, ensure that contacts marked as spam are excluded from your Round Robin assignments. By configuring your settings to bypass leads flagged with the spam property, you can prevent these from being distributed to your team, saving time and maintaining focus on legitimate leads.

Implementing these steps will help streamline your lead management process and minimize the impact of spam on your workflow.
