We are an assessment platform where we would like to store the order details in the Order Object. We would like to create an internal form that is completed with company details and a range of unique order attributes like number of employees, etc...
How can we set up a simple order form our team can use internally?
The basic forms functionality looks very basic and doesn't integrate well with the company/deal/contact object. Do we have to use a 3rd party app to have a simple order form? Please advise?
Thanks for that additional explanation, @EddiefromOz. The forms tool in HubSpot is designed for external use and collecting leads as opposed to creating new object associations. At most, your users could add in the company domain and contact email of the organization the order is being created for, but I think you may need a custom-coded form to create your ideal lookup field.

Yes you're correct. A simple form that creates an order. ie we select the contact and company inside Hubspot, and the form has the fields from the Orders object to create a new order.
It seems this is hard than I realized, thinking its a simple process - even the forms module is confusing here. When I enable the Company field, its a simple text box, however clearly I want it to be a look up.

Hi @EddiefromOz! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊
From what I understand, you would like a form for your users to fill out internally that will automatically create an order object, correct?
You can add Contact, Company, and Custom object fields to forms. Any other object properties would have to be updated with the assistance of a workflow triggered by the form submission itself.
One thing I will advise regarding a form being used internally is to be sure the form does not identify users based on their browser cookies. This could cause duplication or overwriting of submissions. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the function of the 'always create contact for new email address' form settings. As an additional safeguard, I always recommend having users fill out the form using an incognito or private browser window.
I want to invite some subject matter experts to see if they have any suggestions.
Hey @Josh, @Olivia_Bagnall do you have any tips for setting up an internal-only form for order submissions?
Best,
Kennedy
