I'm new to Sequences. I'm used to Keap where you can delay the start of a sequence or the emails in a sequence by a certain number of days AND select the day of the week it will go - simply and easily.
I'm told that feature isn't available in SH Professional - only through some workaround at a higher level.
Sequences aren't that useful to me if I don't have control of when they go beyond enrollment date.
So, I haven't personally used KEAP, but it sounds like a really handy feature to have. In HubSpot, what people are referring to as part of the workaround is using sequence enrollment via workflows. This gives you much more flexibility since you can use workflow controls alongside sequences. It’s a bit of a messy workaround, but here’s how it works in your case with SH Pro:
Delaying Sequences in HubSpot:
You can delay the start of a sequence by a certain number of days natively in HubSpot. You can also build Dynamic sequences where responses are triggered based on actions taken by the prospect. That’s pretty useful if you need a more dynamic approach.
Selecting Specific Days:
Unfortunately, HubSpot doesn’t let you pick a specific day like Tuesday or Wednesday directly, but you can delay emails by a set number of days.
For example, if you start a sequence on January 1st (let’s say it’s a Monday), and you set a 3-day delay, your next email would go out on Thursday. You just calculate the delay based on when the person was enrolled.
There’s no direct option to say, "Send this on a Tuesday," but if you plan out the enrollment date and delays, you can manage it with a little mental mapping.
Raise a Feature Request:
If this feels like a limitation, I’d really suggest raising it in the HubSpot Ideas Forum. I’ve personally raised a few ideas there, and some of them have actually become reality. The HubSpot product team really pays attention to community feedback, and this could be a great addition for a lot of users.
To submit an idea, just go to the Discussions section in the community and head to the Ideas tab. The more detailed and comprehensive you are, the better chance your request will get noticed.
Hopefully, this helps clarify things and points you in the right direction! Let me know if I misunderstood your query or if you have any follow-up questions.
It would be hugely helpful if the HubSpot team would publish the dates they specifically recignize as holidays so we can account for them when planning our sequences. Thank you!
