Send notification when "Amount" value on a Deal changes?

Hi there.

I am looking for a way to make HubSpot send me a notification when the "Amount" value on a Deal changes. The change can be any increase or decrease to the value.

I cannot figure out how to do this in Workflows. The closest I could get was "Property name > Amount>" and the list of options such as "is equal to / more than / less than" etc.

I want "Property name > Amount> Has changed".

Can this be done? Thanks!

P.S. We have Sales Hub Enterprise.

Yes 🙂 For enrollment criteria, choose the "When filter criteria is met" option, then look up deal amount under "Deal properties" and set the filter to "is known". Then enable re-enrollment for "Deal amount is known". HubSpot will now notify you whenever a deal amount either becomes known or is changed.

Yes - In Hubspot looking at this type of workflow it has traditionally be when Property "Is Known" not "Has Changed". Is Known will trigger everytime a value is known, including when it is updated.

I am trying to set up a similar notification, but only want the notifications sent out when the initial deal amount changes. If Amount is populated when the deal is created, we do not need a notification to go out (we already have notifications that indicate when a deal is created). Is there a way to do this?

Hey @candijsmith 👋 Depending on your resources, Webhooks might be a good fit. They can be set up to listen for an update on a property, for example.

Yes, you can set up a notification in HubSpot when the "Amount" value on a Deal changes using the Workflows tool in Sales Hub Enterprise. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Create a New Workflow: Go to your HubSpot dashboard, navigate to Automation > Workflows, and create a new workflow.

2. Set Workflow Type: Choose "Deal-based" workflow.

3. Set Enrollment Triggers: For the enrollment triggers, select "Deal properties" and then choose "Amount". You will see an option for "is known" initially, but you need to click on the filter condition to change it to "has changed".

4. Action: Add an action to this workflow where you specify that HubSpot should send a notification. You can select “Send email notification” or “Send internal SMS notification” (if SMS integration is set up) and specify who should receive this notification.
