Retaining website visit history when converting Prospects to Companies?
I have a number of Prospects that have visited our website numerous times, and this visit history is shown on the Prospect record.
However, when I add this Prospect to the Company database, none of this info is saved to the new Company record.
It feels messy...I already have to create a new property for each of these to track their source as from the Prospects list (as this doesn't happen automatically) and having the records in Companies, and also in Prospects with more data there...ugh.
I think what I'm looking for is the ability to CONVERT a prospect record INTO a company record, rather than creating a second record with only partial data.
Make sense? Anyone else want this feature?
This information does not carry over because it is associated with visitors that do not exist in your CRM. As you'll notice, there will be anonymous visitors associated with a Prospect/Company which is where the source data and website activity will come from, but adding the Prospect to your portal essentially adds this in as a brand new Company record. At this time, this new record is not designed to include the data from the anonymous visit. If you'd like the ability for HubSpot to store this information when the Prospect is added, I definitely think this is worth posting on our Ideas Forum as well for our development team to consider.
