Required association Company with Lead Stage Completion

For a few years now I have seen people asking for a way to required a company association. Is this possible yet? I was hoping to make it so a Lead wouldnt be able to go forward in the pipeline unless a company has been associated?

Within lead pipeline stages: no, sadly not.*

When moving a lead into the qualified stage, if you're prompting the deal create form, you can make a company association required in the deal create record form settings.

* In Enterprise subscriptions there is a workaround that relies on making a view only field required for a lead stage that only gets updated when an association is established.

Thanks, yes I had already set that up but yeah the deals are automatically created through the lifecycle stage changing to opportunity so when a company isnt associated at the lead stage it ends up getting missed unless manually added. What woudl you suggest would be the best way to remind or get close to forcing to associate a company?
