Prospecting Window issues asssociating notes to random contacts

SOLVE

Within the prospecting window, when making a note under the company, previous notes are automatically populating when they shouldn't be there. Additionally, these notes are then associated with random contacts in the system and not the correct contact for the company. 

 

Hoping to get some help on what we can do to remove this issue for our Sales reps!

Hey @NBird0 this is the solution —

 

Solution:

  1. Check for Duplicates:

    • Ensure there are no duplicate company records. Deduplicate if needed.
  2. Set Note Association Defaults:

    • Go to Settings > Objects > Activities > Notes.
    • Ensure notes are set to associate with the correct company and primary contact.
  3. Create a Workflow:

    • Trigger: Note created under a company.
    • Action: Reassign note to correct contact and company if misassigned.
  4. Train Sales Reps:

    • Provide clear instructions on correctly adding notes to avoid misassociation.
  5. Monitor Regularly:

    • Periodically review notes to ensure correct associations and adjust settings as needed.

Please check the associations between notes and contacts. Ensure that notes are linked to the correct contacts and not incorrectly cross-referenced.
