Preventing Quote Total Updating Deal Amount

I have started to use Quotes but I dont want the quote total to update the deal amount as I only want the monthly SaaS part of the quote to update the deal amount. Is this possible?

Hi @karstenkoehler , 

We implemented with a workflow that a calculated attribute overrides the Hubspot deal value. 
We also experience the same pain that the quotes override the deal values as well. 
If we switch to manual entry does it stil allow the worflow to override the deal vlaue while blocking the overriding from the quote?

Hi @ARogencamp,

Yes, navigate to Settings > Objects > Deals > Setup > Default deal amount and choose "Manual entry". Now, if you add or remove line items, the value of the deal's Amount property will not change. You must manually update the deal amount.

What if that quote has a % discount of 5%? the amount is only updating with the pre discount amount and not with the % off it, how would I get it to include this % discount in my amount so my calculations on the deal add up correctly?
