Pre-population of meeting forms

SOLVE

In sales > Meetings > you have the option to pre-populate fileds with known values.

If I am adding a prospect to a sequence and Hubspot already has their required values BUT they have never visited the website before is there any way to get this to auto-populate if they are coming to my booking page via an email from a sequence that I have sent them?

Trying to make it as slick and automated as possible.

Pre-population of meeting forms

SOLVE

Hi @DBrazil,

In that case pre-population is not an option. If contacts never consented to being tracked via cookies and if we're additionally talking about a third-party website, the meeting link cannot have the context of who's submitting it.

Pre-population of meeting forms

SOLVE

Hi @DBrazil,

Yes, the meeting link accepts values that you pass on through parameters. For example, if you share a meeting link and add ?firstname=Karsten to the end of the URL,  you should see that, after picking a time, the first name field is filled. The same works with &lastname= and &email=.

(If you already have information about the prospect, I'd recommend creating a meeting link that asks just for the fields above.)

You can now use this behavior and combine it with personalization tokens.

Let's assume this is your link: https://meetings.hubspot.com/dbrazil/meeting

... you would adjust it to https://meetings.hubspot.com/dbrazil/meeting?firstname=PERSONALIZATIONTOKENFORFIRSTNAME&lastname=PERSONALIZATIONTOKENFORLASTNAME&email=PERSONALIZATIONTOKENFOREMAIL

(Replace everything in upper case with what it corresponds to.)

Try it and let me know if you have any follow-up questions! Keep in mind that, if the email is forwarded to a coworker, the link will be prepopulated incorrectly.

Hi @DBrazil,

Not in the URL, in the email template that you're setting up and which includes the meeting link.

got it - won't work for me then as I'm putting the link to my meeting booking page as a CTA button on a third party video platform.
