Playbook Engagements being added to attendee notes rather than internal notes

Hi All,

Hoping to get some guidance here, we're aiming to record post meeting notes in a playbook and log these notes to the meeting that has already taken place with a customer:

When doing this, the playbook notes are currently being added to the meeting attendance notes instead of internal notes, this means customers are able to see the playbook details in the meeting details.

This is only occuring for meetings that are created externally to HubSpot, if you create a meeting internally, the playbook details record as internal notes, whereas externally, they record in the attendee notes.

Is this by design or an issue? Is there a way to get the Playbook details to record as an internal note for the meeting?

Playbook Engagements being added to attendee notes rather than internal notes

Hey, @HazelJohnson 👋 Thanks for the question. Because this distinction isn't explicit called out in the documentation, I'd suggest filing a support ticket for this one.

To clarify — is this working as designed, but not as we expect? Or is this an unexpected result when using externally booked meetings, playbooks, and notes?

I'd provide the following details:

  • example where the notes worked as expected
  • example where it was shared unexpectedly

Best,

Jaycee
