Partial Invoicing

SOLVE

I have a question regarding invoices.

I know that I can create an invoice on the back of a deal
Can I also create a partial invoice?
The deal will be won but only part of the products are invoiced now, the rest later.
What's the best way of doing this?
Many thanks

Partial Invoicing

SOLVE

Hi @BRitchie8,

Yes, you can create partial invoices from a deal in HubSpot, and here’s how to handle it effectively.

Start by organizing the products or services within the Deal as separate line items. This will let you selectively invoice certain items now and save others for later.

When generating an invoice, select only the line items you want to include in this invoice. Many integrated accounting tools, like QuickBooks or Xero, allow this selective approach directly within HubSpot’s invoicing interface.

To manage future invoicing, you could use a property or note on the Deal to remind yourself which items have already been invoiced. This helps avoid confusion when you return to invoice the remaining items later.

If you want an extra reminder to invoice the remaining items, set up a workflow that sends a notification or task for the outstanding invoice items after a certain period.

This approach will allow you to handle partial invoicing smoothly, keeping the Deal up to date and organized for future billing.

I hope it helps, let me know if you need to talk!

Partial Invoicing

SOLVE

Hi @BRitchie8

So as Khushboo mentions here

You can have a partial invoice with some of the line items in your deal.

I'm not entirely sure that you can do this with free, but for sure with Sales paid licences.

You can go into the right column of your deal to the Invoice card

and click convert deal into Invoice

and then select the line items/delete the ones you don't want to include by clicking on.

Here is an example

Hope this helps
