Notification when Close Date on Deal is due

SOLVE

I'd like the Sales Team to be notified when the close date of their deals is due.  Ideally an email would be received by the Deal Owner 7 days before a close date is due, allowing them an opportunity to amend the date or amend the deal stage as appropriate.

How can this be achieved in Hubspot?  Is it possible?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hi @BeckyPatterson

yes, you can do this with automations.

I'd also suggest implementing a deal tag to show visually on HubSpot

those deals that are next to the close/due date.

Here is an article on how to setup pipeline automations

Here is an example

and here is more info about tags

hope this helps

Hi @BeckyPatterson,

Yes, you would create a deal-based workflow for this: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/create-workflows

For enrollment, choose "When filter criteria is met", then set up as shown below:

Enrollment criteria:

The filters for last and next activity date make sure that you're not reminding anyone who already has a next activity scheduled or just very recently reached out to the prospect. You can of course remove these if they don't apply do your use case.

When turning on the workflow, only enroll deals that meet the criteria from now on, unless you also want to send notifications for deals due in 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 days.

Best regards!

Thank you for your response.  Unfortunately we only have the starter packs so don't have the Automation functionality available.  Something for us to consider though.

You can achieve this in HubSpot by setting up a workflow to send an automated email notification to the deal owner when the close date is approaching.

Go to Automation -> Workflows, create a new Deal-based workflow, and set the enrollment trigger as Close Date is less than 7 days from now. Add an action to Send internal email notification, selecting Deal Owner as the recipient.

Optionally, you can also add an internal task reminder for extra visibility. This ensures your sales team gets notified in time to take action on the deal.
