Need recommendation for multiple companies with same domain

SOLVE

Hi,

Our company is a perk provider and we currently serve only one country, but soon we are looking to expand to other countries. My concern is if we have for example ABC company as our customer in one country with domain ABC.com and now we are going to have lead forms on our website for other countries too, if another person who uses same email domain fills out the lead form it will get associated to already created customer ABC.com (we have automatic assocaition turned on) which will be like lead getting associated to a customer company. Also, we have integration with Netsuite so not sure about turning the automatic contact- company association, as this might affect our synced contacts and companies association.  Any recommendations on how to tackle this issue.

Need recommendation for multiple companies with same domain

Hi Palak,

If having multiple companies with the same domain causes problems for your NetSuite integration, you may be better off planning to implement custom objects to handle the extra dimension of perks per Company+Country.

As a first test, I would create a sample company with the same domain. Create it several times, once per country. Exclude that domain from auto-association and add some users to each per-country company. Test to see how Netsuite handles this multi-company set up.

  • If NetSuite can handle duplicate companies, use the same strategy for cloning some more  companies into per-country objects and exclude them from auto-association. To test that further. If OK, you can use tools like "Associ8" from the marketplace, for rules-based association instead of standard auto-associate.
  • Or, if NetSuite cannot handle this multi-company setup, consider HubSpot Enterprise Custom Objects to represent the different perks available to each combination of Company and Country.

This is where I would start, in terms of narrowing down your options while testing what NetSuite can cope with too.

I hope that helps!

best

Pete

Thanks @kvlschaefer , I have gone through these suggestions, but I think it might not work for our case as we have additional integration with Netsuite too, @Dan1 @HubDoPete @elizheleva please help if you have any other recommendations. Thank you 🙂
