Meeting Completed & Accepted to trigger deal creation
SOLVE
Wanting to know how to createa a workflow or something that only creates a deal when a meeting is marked something specfic.
Like When you complete a meeting and this is an actualy opportunity to be worked, you would mark the outcome to "Completed & Accepted" which then would that record to create a deal?
The other meeting outcomes would be things like
- Completed & Rejected or - No Show
and those outcomes do not trigger a deal to be created.
Sure, here's how you could set this up. First you would have to decide whether this is company-based or contact-based. If you're typically working with just one person, contact-based is fine. If there can be multiple people from the same company attending a meeting, I'd recommend a company-based workflow to avoid duplicate deal creation.
In your enrollment criteria, click 'Set up triggers' > 'When filter criteria is met' and then use the dropdown to find and specify a meeting outcome:
I would then recommend an AND/OR logic branch to check whether an open deal exists already – and only proceed if there isn't one. (Filter by 'Deal stage' and select all open deal stages.)
You can then place an internal email notification in the left branch – for the company owner to review whether a new deal should be created or not.
In the right branch, you would use the 'Create record' action to create the new deal.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
