My company uses the sales hub but we are trying to use our sales data to create effective marketing reports by utilizing the tools provided by the Sales Hub Professional subscription. We are not looking to add the Marketing Hub Professional subscription. Can anyone provide insight on how to create effective markteting reports (using custom report builder or other tools) with the tools provided by the sales hub? Specifically we are trying to track the performance of our marketing campaigns based off revenue generated, meetings booked and quotes sent out in a scalable way but we are having difficulties. Any insight will help, thanks!
Certainly! To leverage Sales Hub Professional for effective marketing reports, focus on the custom report builder. Utilize it to track marketing campaign performance by tying revenue generated, meetings booked, and quotes sent. Start by creating custom reports that align with your goals, incorporating relevant metrics and filters. Utilize the "Deals" and "Contacts" data to extract insights on successful campaigns. Additionally, explore the dashboard feature to visualize key metrics at a glance. Ensure scalability by setting up automated reports to regularly monitor performance. Feel free to experiment with different report configurations to tailor them to your specific needs. This approach maximizes the potential of Sales Hub Professional for robust marketing analytics without requiring additional subscriptions. Hope this guidance proves beneficial for your reporting endeavors!
One method I've seen used in this scenario is either using out of the box original and recent drilldown fields (if you have any marketing materials/comms going out of HubSpot), another option being capturing UTM parameters in custom properties, reporting on that down the road against closed revenue pulled from deals/Sales Hub.
Absolutely, an effective approach involves leveraging out-of-the-box original and recent drilldown fields, especially if you have marketing materials or communications originating from HubSpot. Alternatively, capturing UTM parameters in custom properties can be a robust solution. This allows for comprehensive reporting in the future, particularly when analyzing closed revenue from deals in Sales Hub. It provides a streamlined method to track and optimize the impact of your marketing efforts.
Although I am not familiar with the limitations of Sales Hub, I believe you should be able to create Deal reports associated with your marketing activities via HubSpot's custom report builder.
You can start with a deal-based report that focuses on deals influenced by marketing campaigns and includes fields like "Deal Amount," "Deal Stage," and "Source Campaign" to track the revenue generated from specific marketing initiatives.
